Sarah Jane Beard LDA #635 Orange County California

Hi, I’m Sarah Jane Beard, a registered and bonded Legal Document Assistant based in Orange County, California (LDA Registration #635, exp. 04/23/2027), and the owner of Liberty Legal Docs.

I’ve been passionate about the law since I was a youth and initially dreamed of becoming an attorney, but instead opted for becoming a 20 year career mother of three children. That decision shaped my path, but never diminished my interest in law and justice.

According to career testing at Saddleback College, I’m best suited for structured, mission-driven professions, such as military or legal roles. That proved true throughout my 17+ years working at the Department of Homeland Security USCIS Western Service Center, where I gained extensive experience with federal legal processes. I come from a strong family background in military and public service, which has deeply influenced my commitment to helping others navigate the legal process with integrity and professionalism.

Over the years, I’ve walked the path many of my clients now face—I’ve prepared my own bankruptcy, divorce, title transfer, and LLC formation. My first divorce held me hostage for four ½ years with 14 continuances, simply because I didn’t know how to break free from attorney dependence. That experience drove me to become an educated Legal Document Assistant/Paralegal so I could help others avoid the same frustration and reclaim control over their own legal matters.

Today, I provide self-help legal document preparation in family law, estate planning, immigration, small business formation and worked as a court translator (Spanish). I believe deeply in access to justice through education and empowerment. Paralegal studies hasn’t just advanced my career—it has empowered and liberated me to navigate life with confidence and independence. My passion is to empower and liberate my fellow Southern California residents with their petitions to the courts for their own legal freedom.

I’m always eager to connect with other LDAs to share knowledge, collaborate, or simply support each other in this important work. I’d love to hear about your journey and how we might work together or exchange referrals.
